With Ty Out, Josh Comes Into The Fray

After having come back from shoulder reconstruction in the off season, Josh returned in the new NRL season, to play for the Cowboys Young Guns, and play well he did.
Coach Graham Murray said that he is solid in defence and is ready for first grade. He also said that he has been a reliable centre in the past and deserves his spot.

"Super Sub" Rod Jensen, will be returning to replace Jacob Lillyman, out with a knee injury, and Matt Scott will be seen on the bench for the prop forward rotation this week. Posted by Picasa

Cowboys Away For Next Week's Game

Next Friday, 31st March, The 'Boys play the Eels at Parramatta Stadium.
I can't wait to see them kick some Eel butt on my big screen (do eels even have butts? who knows, but you know what I mean)
I love me Boys. Posted by Picasa

Melbourne Storm Gets Downgraded At Dairyfarmers

This week, they kicked ass against the Storm at home, 40-8.
Poor Ty Williams, broke the the bone above his ankle in two places and will now miss pretty much all of the season. I never saw the game, so I don't actually know what happened, but apparently (this comes from Renee), Billy Slater from the Storm, had something to do with it. Ty is taking it really well, well he can't take it badly can he, not much he can do about it, anyway, what with the cylcone going through Innisfail and the carnage caused by Larry, he thinks that he's gotten off pretty light compared to his hometown.
Other injuries consist of Jacob Lillyman - a week or two - with a knee injury and Neil Sweeney has been given time to see if his back worries subside.
Gonna miss them, but Brenton Bowen will step up, along with Josh Hannay, so I think we'll be pretty safe.
Renee loves him so much though and will really miss him.Posted by Picasa

The Cowboys Win, With Some Casualties.

Last week the Boys beat Manly, 20-16.
Matt Sing, was the best try scorer of the match for the 'Boys, with 3 tries.
The following 'Boys left the field for most of the second half.
Injuries were that I can remember are (we were there along with 23 294 fans) Aaron Payne, taken to hospital (0nly as a precaution) with a neck injury, he felt some tingling going on; Travis Norton, head clash; Matt Sing, lower back.
But with these 'Boys gone, we were at no disadvantage by having a couple of debutants with Clint Amos and Gavin Cooper and a couple of youngsters coming in, such as Jacob Lillyman, Matt Scott and Scott Tronc, working hard to help take us to victory.
Johnathan Thurston, gave a helping hand, being there for Matt Sing's 3 tries, and Brett Firman came over the line in the dying minutes of the first half with a cunning try.
Matt Sing left the field after his third try, becoming the 6th highest try scorer in the NRL, with an amazing 150 to his acclaim.Posted by Picasa
For those of you who care, Manly Sea-Eagles 16 (Stewart 2, Bell tries, Orford 2 goals)

Funny Little Things In Life

Funny Little Things In Life
Well what do you know? I don't know a lot, but I like to say a lot, most of the time anyway. My footy tips this week have gone off to a bad start, with only 1 win out of 3. I hope I can do better with my tips tomorrow. I suppose, that it doesn't help that I know NOTHING about football, but I guess it's all in good fun.
see ya tomorrow.
